Does Myer (Melbourne or Sydney) sell baby nursery furniture?
I am specifically after a cot and change table. I recently got a $1000 Myer voucher and I am 16 weeks pregnant and it would just be so financially handy if I can use the voucher to purchase the furniture for my nursery. Also, if anyone knows if they deliver ship large items interstate that would be great cause I am in Tasmania and our Myer stores don't have nursery furniture.
Where did you buy your nursery furniture?
I was thinking about getting some of those seagrass draws..or maybe fabric or plastic ones, i want to buy something that he she wont injure themselves if they bump into it .. but i can see seagrass being pulled apart.. ideas?
Did you re-use nursery furniture for #2?
My daughter is almost 2 years old and will be moving into a toddler bed next month. We are trying for our second child, but are not pregnant yet. I sold her changing table after she potty trained because we did not like it and decided we would buy a new one for the next baby. She is keeping her dresser so all we have left from the nursery furniture is the crib. The crib is Graco brand but very plain looking and not as solid as most because after her first one broke while moving we just bought whatever they currently had at the store so she had a bed to sleep in. Now that she is no longer going to be using it I can't decide if we should sell it and buy all new matching nursery furniture for our next child and plan to use it for any children we have after that or just buy furniture to match the crib we have and use the same crib for our next child. I would really like a more classy looking, sturdy crib but the one we have is only about a year old and has held up fine with my daughter.What do you think? My husband would like to use the crib we already have and I feel like it would be nice to have a sturdy and matching set and then use it for any other children we have.I guess I should also add we are planning to move out of state in about 3 years so would need to consider selling the furniture or moving it with us. My thought is if we use the same crib we would sell it, if we buy a new set we would move it with us.What's your opinion? Did you buy new furniture or re use what you had with the first one?Her crib is in great shape and only about a year old. It's just not one of the nice, soild, expensive ones because we needed one quickly so took whatever they had in the color that her other furniture was at Target when we went. If it were a safety issue I would certainly buy a new one but it's not so rather just a matter of preference I guess. I just wanted to hear others opinions
Isn't 11 weeks way to early for nursery furniture?
My little sister is super excited about her first baby, but I think she needs to slow down. She is only 11 weeks and has purchased her whole nursery set. She wants my husband to come over and help her put it together. I think this is silly so early in pregnancy and that she should keep it in the boxes it came in just in case something unfortunate may happen. She feels that I am stopping my husband from going over there to spite her, when really I'm just trying to help her and looking out for her benefit. I would like to keep a good relationship with her and help her with the baby, however, this is one thing where I just feel she is wrong. How can I get her to understand my point of view?I would be of no help at 8 months pregnant myself. I am expecting baby number 4 and have had my fair share of experience and sometimes patience is key.

Does anyone have any black piece of StorkCraft nursery furniture?
I have already bought a black crib that is not Stork Craft but it is true black no blown tint what so ever. I am now looking for a black dresser changer combo and Stork Craft makes two different ones that I like but in the pictures they both look like they have a brownish tint. Other black changers look truly black in the picture and I am worried I am going to have to send it back because it's not completely black. Does anyone have a StorkCraft piece that is black and can verify one way or the other?

Hi,I have found a stunning nursery furniture set that i want to buy for our baby but it is always out of stock which has really upset as I cant get it anywhere else and i havent seen anything else that i like.I am looking for a dark wood set although happy to buy each item individually which includes a wardrobe, a changer dresser and a cotbet.
