Would you rather go for 1 or 21 buying a new camera for 400 at a retailer 2 buying 1 year used camera for 300 on e bay no warranty by the way the camera is Nikon D3100the prices above are not necessarily accurate but rather showing range difference
Some telescopes and cameras might say 10X magnification. I have a 400mm lens. How many X is that?
So how is that computed?

Last camera I had was a kodak camera, that broke on me. What camera to get for summer time?
So I need a camera that's not as big as the professional cameras, but takes similar quality pictures. My friends and I have a lot planned for this summer and I need a camera that takes amazing pictures during daytime and nighttime. For the nighttime pictures, I would prefer a camera doesn't give the yucky flash effect that cheap cameras give everyone's shiny, white, and has red eyes . I think that's called low light setting but I'm not sure, I'm not good with technical stuff. The max amount I would pay is probably be $450. Suggestions?

I'm trying to pick out a new camera and I am very confused. I want a camera that can focus in on a single object and have the background out of focus. I want a camera with those types of futures. I know there's lens for that, but are there any cameras that have that future without lens? Give me suggestions of both types of cameras Thanks
Video Camera for shooting in dim light?
I am making a short for a film school application and have very little knowledge about cameras. I am on a very tight budget and need a camera that can shoot at night, with street light's as the only form of light. I also want naturalistic look, so it would need to be able to have a large depth of field. Does such a camera exist??Visually, i am trying to recreate the feel of Resnais' " Hiroshima Mon Amour" . If there aren't any cameras that can recreate this on my budget. Does anyone know how they did it in the film, and does anyone have an suggestions for how it could be recreated on a low low budget?
I need help choosing a compact ultrazoom camera?
I'm currently looking for a camera with high optical zoom capabilities and superb image qualities. I've looked around for weeks now and I'm really tired of not being able to choose one. The couple of ones I've considered buying got bad reviews online. I actually started out looking for a good 10x zoom like the CyberShot DSC WX150 and the Coolpix S6300 but now I've decided to go a bit further .Currently these are my choices Nikon Coolpix S9300 I almost bought this one until I read the reviews. The image quality is not highly spoken of. The reviews for this camera don't really praise it or anything and in fact point out its flaws and incompetencies and how it doesn't deliver anything outstanding. The S8200 or S9100 might actually be a better fit than this according to others and it has some serious competitors which I'm listing below.Cyber shot DSC HX10V Before the Nikon I actually nearly decided to buy this until I read the reviews online. People were comparing it with the HX9V and how it was actually better than this newer model. Some say that its image quality has actually degraded due to the high MP count. I heard that getting the older HX9V from the few remaining is actually better.PowerShot SX260 HS many are recommending this as a solid choice instead of the others. The reviews for this camera seem to be better than the other 3 cameras which I've listed. It supposedly has the best image quality out of all my choices. However, this doesn't really look as good as the other 2 though appearance wise .Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS20 Another camera with quite a good feature set which I discovered. Like the Canon though, it's not that good looking as the Sony or Nikon.I'm really torn deciding between all these models. Are there any more suggestions which I have missed and you recommend ? I must have missed a few especially from other brands. Can you guys please help me choose a model. Thanks for reading

I lost my flip camera?!?
It sucks I had it on Saturday and then when I needed it today it wasnt anywhere. This suck because now I need to film my YouTube videos with my iPod touch and iPod cameras suck. What should I do? it's in my house somewhere btw so don't suggest looking somewhere else
Good superzoom camera's with zoom ring?
I've been looking for a superzoom for a few months now and have come across a lot but i've noticed that hardly any of them have a manual zoom ring. This is something i really look for in a camera and the only 3 camera's i've found with it are the Fujifilm HS20 and HS30 anyone know of any decent cameras that have a zoom ring? Also i do not have the money for a proper SLR, i've looked but they're too expensive P thanks in advance Sorry, meant to say the HS10 finepix as well s
