Tray has numbers 7217 coffee pot sugar creamer & six saucers have number 859

Cleaning severly tarnished silver coffee service?
i have a beautiful silver coffe tea service, it hasnt been cleaned in 50 years. most of the tarnish has come off however there are several black tarnish marks i cant get rid of. i have done the aluminum foil baking soda, wrights silver polish,and toothpaste methods yet these tarnish spots remain any ideas?

Is my CMIELOW coffee service worth anything?
Hi, I have a coffee service from the Polish manufacter CMIELOW, It is in very good condition and has no chips or restorative marks. I have an old silver tea coffee service with no hall marks how do I tell if its silver or pewter.?
I have done the salt foil and boiling water test and got lots of very fine bubbles on the surface of the sugar bowl I was testing and it came out of the water absolutely brilliant silver and shiney. All the previous polishing fluids clogged around the ornate detailing fell away and it looks like new.It has obviously been well cared for and the full set sits on a salver of a different style.I cant see any hall marks any where I have been wiping it with a soft dry cloth to stop yellowing but I do not know if it is silver or pewter. can any one help?
