What do i need to go shark fishing?
I want to go shark fishing up here in PA, but i am only 13 years old so a shark would pull me right in. I was wondering if they made anything that you can attach your fishing pole to so the fish don't take it? Also would i need any special tackle? And i don't want any baby sharks i want a 10 footer at least, which i do know is a lot for a kid, but i am up for the challenge.Would it also be legal to kill one to keep?

How big of a bait do i really need for shark fishing?
ive alwyase used chunks of fish as big as my fist or bigger but its hard to keep the bait in place with even a 3 oz pyramid sinker so i was wondering if a big shark 5ft or more would take a small peice of meat say the size of like the size of an egg and i dont want you to say i can use those big bricks to keep it in place or use a hevier pyramid sikner all i want to know is if a big shark will take a bait about the size of an egg instead of something big like an entire fish head becuase i also run out of bait when i use giant chunksi understand that most of the time bigger bait means bigger fish but sharks arnt like other fishhahahahahahaha hi usually that makes most people really mad but i think its funny but only when it happens like once a month or something but seriously now dont do it again or ill report youuh i have no problem with attracting sharks and yes we are twins
What type of Fishing line to use for shark fishing for 2-5 ft sharks?
I'd prefer to use braid, and if I do is it okay to use a hi vis yellow?And is it also okay to use a mono backing? If so how long?I like to fish on Tybee Island in Savannah, Ga, mostly inshore.Sharks and manta rays are the most common catch.I like to use a 4 ounce sinker on 3ft wire leader with either squid or cut bait.Usually fish rocky shorelines and from bridges with a sandy dirt bottom.I do not need to cast very far, I like to use a 7ft rod. i always shark fished on tybee island but then i came across this article somewhere and it metoned it being illegal i want to know if it still is or ever was or anything ive had coast watch people drive right up to me when i have something on the hook and they watch me land it and when i catch sharks they just drive away after im donethats the same article i read and its from almost 5 years ago so i didnt know if it has been changed since then becuase i see a lot of shark fisherman

I need advice with shark fishing reels!?
I've started shark fishing recently. I use a Penn Senator 113H with 80 pound braid line. Is this a good reel to use or should i get a larger one, if so what should I get and where can i buy it online. and also what is the best pound test line i should use? Well i have caught my first shark with my current reel. It was a 5 foot bull shark and my reel seemed to handle it pretty good. but i later had my 80 pound test line snapped twice after that...so im looking for a reel that will hold much more line and stronger line. i would like to have a reel that holds about 1000 yards or more of 100 lb test or something like that. and i don't really want to spend too much more than 300 on the reel
What would be a good reel for surf shark fishing?
I would like to purchase a rod and a reel to use for surf fishing on Sanibel Island this summer. I would like to try to catch some sharks but I don't have any experience catching fish this big. I don't want to spend a ton.... looking at maybe $150 or so for the rod and reel. Any suggestions? I was looking at maybe a 10' to 12' foot rod and maybe a bait feeder reel.

Can anyone tell me any tips they use for shark fishing on the beach? such as what baits, and rigs and such. Anything that catches you sharks i would like to know. i fish on a beach with a penn senator 6 0. i cant take my bait out far because when i reel it in to go home it gets stuck on the bottom and i have to cut off my rig. so maximum i take out my bait is like 50 75 yards. If anyone fishes in that yard range and gets alot of shark please tell me how you catch them. thanks
