Does anyone have a home theater sub in an apartment?
I just received a series of home theater, and I'm really concerned about the amount of noise it is doing to the neighbors below me. Now I only have 1 set of cables connected to it, instead of the two sets, and I have to be in a book with the hope of reducing the vibration directly on the carpet. Could be better than sitting up on something smaller in each of the 4 corners of the sub? as say …. i duno, 4 rolls of tape vacuum (there is one beside me) .. thus there is less contact with the ground. Does this even help at all? What if I have a some of that Dynamat and place a sheet under the sub / book. The walls are concrete, so I do not think I have to worry about the neighbor next to me so much. Any suggestions as what you have done would be great. thanks
There is a product called Auralex Subdudes are placed on the floor and put the sub at the top of the vibration isolating of alternates to the floor below her. In fact, helps tame the sub itself and the control of unwanted vibrations that can hinder sound quality.
