Can I use ADT (or any other alarm company) to monitor the Slomin’s Security system installed in my home?

I have read that Slomin’s is terrible, so I’m wondering if any other company, with a better track record, can monitor this system?

Don’t pay for a monitoring service when you can install gadgets to call you on the phone, cellphone, email, skype, etc. in case of problem.
