Acrylics while playing guitar…..?

For my birthday I really want acrylic nails but I’m learning how to play thee guitar. Do you think the nails will affect my performance??

Check out John Butler; he uses acrylic nails for his picking. Its pretty dope if you can do it, though it looks incredibly hard. If you strum without a pick already, then they shouldn’t get in the way. The only problem would be playing any chords….just do one hand ; )
